18UAA All Stars
ASTON, Pa. – The Delaware Valley Hockey League (DVHL) has announced its 2023-24 18UAA All-Star selections, highlighting the most outstanding players who displayed exceptional skill, leadership, and contributions throughout the season. This year’s selections include the All-League Team, 1st Team, 2nd Team, and Honorable Mentions, recognizing the top talent from all positions on the ice.
All-League Selections
The All-League Team represents the most dominant players of the season, showcasing their ability to impact games on a consistent basis.
Forwards
Andrew Savona (Genesis Hockey Club 18AA Tye) earned the title of league’s top-scoring forward, leading the DVHL with an impressive 41 points (25 goals, 16 assists) in 18 games. His scoring ability and offensive leadership made him a critical piece of his team’s success.
Kevin Pico (Genesis Hockey Club 18AA Tye) was another dominant offensive force, tallying 40 points (16 goals, 24 assists) in 18 games, proving to be a high-caliber playmaker with a knack for setting up teammates.
Owen Myers (Snider Hockey) rounded out the All-League forwards, finishing the season with 29 points (11 goals, 18 assists) in 17 games. His well-balanced offensive contributions made him one of the most reliable scorers in the league.
Defensemen
Jackson Younger (Central Penn Panthers) was the league’s highest-scoring defenseman, posting 16 points (3 goals, 13 assists) in 17 games. His ability to contribute offensively while maintaining a strong presence on the blue line set him apart from other defensemen.
Colin Dachowski (Genesis Hockey Club 18AA Tye) was another key defensive standout, recording 12 assists in 18 games. His excellent vision and ability to move the puck helped his team create offensive opportunities from the back end.
Goaltender
CJ Ulmer (Central Penn Panthers) was named the All-League Goalie, earning this recognition with a .915 save percentage and a 3.10 goals-against average (GAA) in 11 games. He secured six wins, proving to be a reliable presence in net throughout the season.
1st Team Selections
The 1st Team All-Stars featured top-tier forwards, defensemen, and a standout goaltender. Brady Connelly (Central Penn Panthers) led the 1st Team forwards with 25 points (10 goals, 15 assists), followed closely by Noam Nisimi (Snider Hockey), who recorded 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists). Dale MacKay (Quakers) added depth and scoring ability, making a significant impact in key moments.
On defense, Tyler Hannan (Quakers) and David Brown (Genesis Hockey Club 18AA Tye) played crucial roles, providing strong defensive coverage and contributing offensively when needed. Aidan Gmitter (Genesis Hockey Club 18AA Tye) was selected as the 1st Team Goalie, finishing with a .903 save percentage and a 2.86 GAA over 10 games, solidifying his position as one of the top netminders in the league.
2nd Team Selections
The 2nd Team All-Stars consisted of skilled players who made consistent contributions throughout the season. Tyler Lucas (Central Penn Panthers) led the 2nd Team forwards with 19 points (8 goals, 11 assists), while Jack Wolf (Quakers) followed closely behind with 17 points (6 goals, 11 assists). Corey Kosick (Genesis Hockey Club 18AA Tye) also made an impact, posting 16 points (7 goals, 9 assists). Defensively, Nathan Bellopede (Delaware Jr. Blue Hens) and Caleb Imperant (Central Penn Panthers) were key players, supporting their teams with solid defensive efforts and puck-moving abilities. Aidan Rogacki (Quakers) was named the 2nd Team Goalie, posting a .880 save percentage and a 3.46 GAA in 10 games, proving to be a dependable last line of defense.
Honorable Mentions
Several players earned Honorable Mentions for their consistent performances and valuable contributions to their teams.
Among the forwards recognized were Jack Cranston (Central Penn Panthers), Joseph Pietropaulo (Delaware Jr. Blue Hens), Jake Robinson (Delaware Jr. Blue Hens), Nathan Crossan (Delaware Jr. Blue Hens), and Tyler Syto (Delaware Jr. Blue Hens). These players provided secondary scoring and strong offensive depth throughout the season. On the defensive side, Bryce Derstine (Quakers), Clayton Smart (Quakers), Vladimir Hartman (Snider Hockey), Devon Mallon (Snider Hockey), and Antonio Centeno (Snider Hockey) were acknowledged for their strong defensive play and ability to help their teams in crucial moments.
