2024-25 DVHL 16UA National All-Star Selections Announced
The Delaware Valley Hockey League (DVHL) has unveiled its 2024-25 16UA National All-Star selections, celebrating the standout players who have excelled throughout the season. These elite athletes have been chosen for their remarkable performances, earning recognition across the All-League, 1st Team, and 2nd Team categories.
All-League Selections
The All-League team honors the most dominant players of the season. Among the forwards, Andrew Palahunik (Chester County Cougars), Parker Thompson (Chester County Cougars), and Luke Ganly (Chester County Cougars) led the way with Palahunik recording an astounding 80 points (44 goals, 36 assists), making him the most prolific scorer in the league.
On defense, Easton Hines (Chester County Cougars) and Aliaksei Krasnikau (Genesis Hockey Club) stood out with their strong two-way play, both contributing offensively while maintaining a solid presence in their defensive zones. In net, Ryne Dominick (Delaware Jr. Blue Hens) was named the All-League Goalie, boasting an outstanding 1.93 GAA, 0.905 save percentage, and 14 wins, proving to be a cornerstone for his team.
1st Team Selections
The 1st Team All-Stars featured exceptional forwards Evan Finnicum (Delaware Jr. Blue Hens), Brennan Austin (Delaware Jr. Blue Hens), and Kevin Brown (Snider Hockey), all of whom delivered crucial offensive contributions.
On defense, Gavin Mellon (Delaware Jr. Blue Hens) and Frank Cantres (Snider Hockey) were selected for their ability to both contribute offensively and protect their defensive end. Max Reiner (Chester County Cougars) secured the 1st Team Goalie position, recording a 1.83 GAA, and a 0.895 save percentage—a testament to his consistency between the pipes.
2nd Team Selections
The 2nd Team All-Stars recognized players who made a substantial impact this season. Cole Amerman (Wilkes-Barre Jr. Penguins), Nathan Picinich (Quakers), and Andrew Tkach (Genesis Hockey Club) led the forward group with key scoring performances. On defense, Jackson Goodwin VII (Delco Phantoms) and Riley Rumsey (Snider Hockey) were acknowledged for their contributions. In goal, Andrew Slutsky (Genesis Hockey Club) was named the 2nd Team Goalie, facing a heavy workload with 382 shots against, and finishing with a 0.859 save percentage.
