The 2024–25 Chester County Cougars 18U A National team delivered a dominant and consistent performance throughout the season, culminating in a well-earned DVHL Championship. With an impressive 19–1–0 regular season record, the Cougars secured 74 points and first place in the 18U A National Division. They demonstrated excellence on both ends of the ice, recording big wins against top-tier opponents such as the Wilkes-Barre Jr. Pens, Delco Phantoms, and Hershey Jr. Bears. The team’s only regular-season loss came in a narrow 6–7 contest against Genesis Hockey Club in early January, further fueling their focus heading into the postseason.
Strong individual performances across the lineup fueled the Chester County Cougars’ remarkable campaign. Cole Blackburn led the team offensively, posting an impressive 43 points in just 20 games, including 33 goals. Colin Kelly was a key playmaker, notching 27 points with a balanced 12 goals and 15 assists. Ben Brun and Caden Bentz also made significant contributions with 23 and 22 points, respectively, demonstrating the team’s scoring depth. On the back end, Cooper Allen added 20 points while playing a solid two-way game. The Cougars entered the playoffs with purpose and precision, going undefeated with a perfect 3–0 record. They opened the playoffs with a commanding 7–2 win over Snider Hockey, followed by a tight 3–2 battle against a strong Genesis Hockey Club squad. In the championship game, Chester County faced the Wilkes-Barre Jr. Pens and once again rose to the occasion, skating to a 4–1 victory to capture the DVHL 18U A National title. The Cougar’s season was highlighted by several players being recognized among the DVHL’s elite. Cole Blackburn was named to the All-League Team after a dominant offensive campaign, while goaltender Tom O’Brien earned All-League honors for his strong performance between the pipes.
