The Delco Phantoms wrapped up a remarkable season by claiming the DVHL 12U B National Championship, showcasing a combination of offensive power, defensive toughness, and unwavering team spirit. The Phantoms finished the regular season with a strong 17-3-2 record, earning 73 points and securing second place in the standings. From the outset, Delco established themselves as a top contender, opening the season with back-to-back wins and then exploding for a 13-3 victory over Central Penn Panthers. The team demonstrated consistency across the schedule, highlighted by a 14-3 win over the Lady Patriots, and key victories over playoff-caliber opponents like the Quakers and Chester County Cougars. Even in close matchups, the Phantoms showed grit and resolve, battling to ties or rebounding quickly after rare setbacks.
The Delco Phantoms were led by an outstanding group of top performers who made a significant impact throughout the regular season. Nicholas Ezzie was a dynamic offensive force, finishing with a team-high 40 goals and 51 points in just 20 games, showcasing elite scoring ability and consistency. Jake Bellis added another layer of offensive firepower with 28 goals and 16 assists, totaling 44 points and making his presence felt in every game. Owen Fox was another key playmaker, recording 19 goals and 9 assists for 28 points, while Kellan Shane-Sanchez chipped in a solid 25 points of his own with 15 goals. On the back end, Owen Elwell and Lloyd Thompson played valuable two-way roles, with Thompson also contributing offensively with 7 points and a power play goal. In net, Michael Hinde was a workhorse, appearing in 21 games and logging nearly 950 minutes. Nicholas Ezzie was named to the prestigious All-League Team as a forward, a well-deserved honor after leading the team with an impressive 40 goals and 51 total points in just 20 games. His ability to score in key moments and consistently drive the offense made him one of the league’s most dangerous threats. Joining him on the 1st Team All-Stars was fellow forward Jake Bellis, who delivered a remarkable season of his own with 28 goals and 44 points. Bellis’s energy, finishing touch, and ability to create plays elevated the Phantoms’ attack game after game. In goal, Michael Hinde earned 1st Team All-Star recognition for his stellar work between the pipes. Appearing in 21 games, Hinde recorded 16 wins, 3 shutouts, and nearly 950 minutes played, anchoring the team with poise and consistency throughout both the regular season and playoffs.
