DVHL joins as founding member of Mid Atlantic Hockey Alliance
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Delaware Valley Hockey League has partnered with New Jersey Youth Hockey League (NJYHL) and Mid Atlantic Women’s Hockey Association (MAWHA) to launch Mid Atlantic Hockey Alliance, whose mission is providing players with an even more robust, varied and competitive schedule, maximizing opportunities for skill development, and managing travel and associated costs for our families.
“Youth hockey grew across Pennsylvania and Delaware through the efforts of organizations similar to the DVHL who have always put families first,” said DVHL President Jay Finnigan. “Our new alliance with NJYHL and MAWHA reaffirms our commitment to families in Pennsylvania, Delaware and across the mid-Atlantic hockey community.”
The new organization will offer members of the partnering organizations the opportunity to enhance the player experience within the community-based model that has supported many families in sharing their passion for the game. League leaders have been working together for several weeks in preparation for divisional alignment and other steps that will ensure a smooth start to the upcoming season for alliance and league games.
Additional details regarding the alliance, including targeted game counts and special events, will be released in the coming weeks as divisions are finalized based on tryouts. For further information, families are encouraged to reach out to their respective clubs at this time.
