Genesis Hockey Club 10U B — DVHL Playoff Champions

The Genesis Hockey Club 10U B team capped off an incredible season by being crowned DVHL Playoff Champions, finishing with a stellar 21-3-0 record and earning second place in the regular season standings. From the very first puck drop, Genesis set the tone for a dominant campaign, opening the season with a commanding 10-0 win over the Exton Kings and following it up with an 18-3 victory against the Delaware Jr. Blue Hens. Throughout the regular season, the team displayed remarkable consistency and offensive firepower, scoring ten or more goals in nine different games. Signature wins included a 15-1 performance against the Chester County Cougars, a 16-1 showing versus Campus Wild, and a 12-0 shutout of the Lady Patriots. Even in their few close matchups, the team showed resilience and determination, finishing the regular season on a five-game winning streak and heading into playoffs with significant momentum.

Genesis Hockey Club’s success was fueled by a deep and talented roster led by several standout performers throughout the regular season. Dennis Kutz was a force offensively, leading the team with an astounding 57 goals and 73 total points in just 23 games. Declan O’Meara provided an excellent scoring and playmaking balance, tallying 23 goals and 20 assists for 43 points. Jason Ziller also had a strong season, contributing 24 goals and 16 assists, while Jacob Shaw notched 26 goals and 13 assists in 22 games. On the blue line, Brennen Dickinson added both offensive firepower and defensive stability with 24 goals and 13 assists, and Ryder Sementa chipped in with 31 points from the back end. Between the pipes, goaltenders Mason Mitchell and Carson Ford were reliable and steady, combining for 19 wins, multiple shutouts, and stellar goals-against averages of 1.65 (Mitchell) and 2.21 (Ford). The balanced contributions from all positions were instrumental in Genesis’s championship journey.

In the postseason, Genesis continued their impressive run with a 5-2 win over the Delco Phantoms in the quarterfinals and a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Quakers in the semifinals. After falling to Central Penn in their first championship matchup, the team showcased their character and resolve by bouncing back in the rematch the very next day, earning a 2-0 shutout win to secure the DVHL title. It was a fitting conclusion to a season defined by skill, teamwork, and perseverance. Genesis Hockey Club’s 10U B team can proudly celebrate a remarkable year and their well-earned status as DVHL Champions.

Genesis Hockey Club was led by three outstanding players who earned DVHL All-Star honors for their exceptional performance throughout the 10U B season.

Dennis Kutz was named to the All-League Team as a forward after a dominant offensive season in which he led the team with 57 goals and 73 points. His speed, skill, and scoring touch made him a constant threat on the ice and a cornerstone of the team’s offensive success. Joining him on the All-League Team was Ryder Sementa, a steady and impactful defenseman who contributed both defensively and offensively with 18 goals and 31 points. Ryder’s two-way play and leadership on the blue line were critical to Genesis’s championship run.

Rounding out the honorees, Carson Ford was selected to the 1st Team All-Stars as goaltender. With a regular season record of 11 wins and a stellar playoff performance—including a shutout in the championship game—Carson’s consistency and calm under pressure helped backstop the team to a DVHL title.
