Delaware Jr Blue Hens 16U A American — DVHL Playoff Champions

The Delaware Jr Blue Hens Youth Ice Hockey Club

The Delaware Jr. Blue Hens enjoyed a remarkable 2024–25 campaign, finishing the regular season with an impressive 20–6–0 record to capture 1st place in the DVHL’s 16U A American division. The team demonstrated skill, resilience, and consistency throughout the season, earning key victories over top contenders including the Quakers, Central Penn Panthers, and Campus Wild. Their high-powered offense and structured team play enabled them to control the pace in nearly every matchup, while their home-ice dominance helped solidify their position at the top of the standings.

The Delaware Jr. Blue Hens’ outstanding season was fueled by a dynamic group of top performers who consistently delivered in all areas of the game. Wyatt Bolin led the way offensively, notching 27 goals and 21 assists for an impressive 48 points in 26 games. Right behind him was Tanner Kinkus, who tallied 24 goals and 16 assists to reach the 40-point mark, while Ethan Chantler added 29 points of his own with 21 goals. On the blue line, Dante Bockhorn was a major contributor with 33 points, combining steady defensive play with offensive production. In goal, both Brandon Anshutz and Quinn Kelley provided reliable goaltending all season long. Anshutz appeared in 17 games with a 2.30 goals-against average, while Kelley held a stellar .903 save percentage across 10 appearances. Their combined efforts anchored the team’s defensive success, giving the Blue Hens the backbone they needed to secure the championship.

In the playoffs, the Blue Hens elevated their performance even further. They edged out the Exton Kings in a thrilling 4–3 opening-round victory, then displayed their composure with a 4–0 shutout against the Delco Phantoms in the semifinal. In the championship game, they once again faced the Kings and sealed their DVHL title with another exciting 4–3 win. The Delaware Jr. Blue Hens capped off their season as playoff champions, a well-earned reward for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding team effort from start to finish.

A few of the Jr. Blue Hens players were recognized for their exceptional 2024–25 seasons with DVHL All-Star honors! Forward Wyatt Bolin earned All-League honors after leading the team in scoring with dominant two-way play. Goaltender Brandon Aungst was also named to the All-League team, anchoring the Blue Hens with consistently strong performances between the pipes. In addition, forward Tanner Kinkus received Second Team honors for his offensive contributions and relentless work ethic throughout the season.
